A little something so all us KAIA people can stay in touch, no matter where we go. Mofith, thanks for the idea.

The subway is for taking pics in toronto. Anyways, we were on our way to watch the screening of the Bangladesh Documentery film at the Uuniversity of Toronto , called "Deshantori." Films like these are good for the Bangladeshi Film culture. Hope all of you get to see this movie too and since most of us are living abroad , this move had a strong connection with us. Its director is a Harvard graduate , who went to work for the ministry of planning in Bangladesh. He then went on to work for other NGOs. He flew in from the states to be at the screening and talked to us about his experiences and answered questions about the film. if he gets enough funding and recognition , he could very well be the next Micheal Moore of Bangladesh. I actually went and told him that myself.

31st

I could only salvage one pic from the 31st night. Since i dont take my camera around specially cuz its a messed up one.

Anyways, thats priyanka a friend of hossain's from waterloo who was kind enough to come down for our night out in the town.

she's a transfer student from Brac University studying architecture and that's where i did classes last summer and apparently she knows a couple of people i know, so it was fun talkin to her.

WINTER HOLIDAYS

The photo on the left was taken around the 3rd week of december when we went ice skating on Nathan Philips Square, which is kind of like the times square ( NY ) of Toronto.

Behind us is the City Hall.

I am on the very right of the picture.

BD crew T-dot

T-DOT , is the name some people use to for Toronto. The yellow pic where we are all sitting in a circle and i am on the left was taken the day i arrived form London. We were playing something like the 'win lose or draw' game. The other pic with some of the same people was taken after the Eid. I am on the left of that pic. Most of these people are part of the BSF ( Bangladesh Student Federation of York ) and Hossain's a part of that too.

NIAGRA, ONTARIO

On the other side is the USA. It's sad that I didnt get to take photos in windsor. I used to live right across the river from Detroit.

Anyways, this pic was taken when Mona Matin took us to Niagra.

Hossain on the right. it was freezing cold and the waterfall is huge. It snowed 8 inches early in october in that area. unbelievable weather.

LONDON WAS FUN

Meeting Ahmed after 3 years, didnt seem like 3 years, cuz he's still the same. But yeah , i was kinda disappointed not meeting Abdullah in London. Sami was a really nice guy. It's really cool that those 2 brothers are staying together.

Murad took this pic while we were crossing the road. My own camera is not too good, so i dont know if i can take good pics of toronto and put it up.

KAIAguy in CANADA

Ok , This is really exciting. This blog is gonna have to be a collective effort, cuz a blog relies on everyone contributing even a little bit to keep it going. So i am hoping to hear all your stories. Life is all about these little stories.

I am at a public computer now so i can't upload pics. I am at the central square of York University. It's friday around 6 pm, I am waiting for a friend, he was supposed to be here at 5.30 and we were gonna go to the mall.

On the way here, i saw Hossain. We talked for a bit, he was on his way to work. It's amazing how there are bits and pieces of BISJ-KAIA all over the world. There's ofcourse a whole bunch of you in London. I guess London is getting a bit crowded with you people. There's Ahmed and Sami who went so many years ago in 2003. Then Ofcourse Abdullah Rajb and Murad and now hear Shaquille is there too. before that ofcourse we had Sakib and Seja and there are more...

In Toronto, Canada, I Mona Matin and her Brother, I saw both of them and She was so happy to see me, i was surprised how nice she is. Hossain and Me are still single and smoking cigarettes wondering when we will get a girl while walking downtown.

In Malaysia , we got Yasir, another KAIA guy who topped his class just like every KAIA guy. We are special , we just dont know we are... Yasir and Mahmood are chillin in KL. Could you imagine it was gonna end up like that?

Then ofcouse BISJ is a bigger group spread even further. Myra is in Paris, France, Tayseer in Saudi, so is Yaseen. Abeer is getting married , she is Saudi too. Nima is in KL , Noman in dubai , Sameer Mughal in USA, Ibrahim in Australia, we are all over the world, BISJWORLD...

Naseem and Osama, and Shamir , I am wishing them the best with their future. Go where ever your destiny takes you but our roots are KAIA.
